1. About these terms
These terms explain the use of the Statley Roofing & Masonry website and the process for enquiries about roofing, masonry and exterior work in Ontario. They are not a construction contract and do not create an obligation to purchase services. Work is governed by the written agreement you accept, together with applicable law.
2. Information on this site
Website content is general information, not a property-specific inspection, engineering assessment, legal opinion or offer at a particular price. The appropriate repair or replacement depends on the property's condition and the agreed scope. Do not rely on a photograph or general article as instructions for working at height or carrying out structural repairs.
3. Enquiries and free estimates
Submitting a form, contacting us or discussing an approximate budget does not book work or create a contract. Free estimates are available. An estimate is a written quote; the agreed document should identify the proposed work, price, applicable taxes, exclusions and any conditions. Availability and any proposed dates need to be confirmed directly.
Please give accurate information and upload only photographs you are entitled to share. Avoid including people or unnecessary private details. We handle enquiry details and photos as described in our Privacy Policy; sending them does not authorize their use in advertising.
4. Written contracts and Ontario consumer rights
Ontario's guidance for home-renovation and roofing businesses states that a written agreement is required for consumer contracts worth more than $50. The agreement should identify the contracting business, contact details, scope and materials, total price and taxes, payment arrangements, proposed dates and applicable cancellation information. Read your agreement and keep a copy before work begins.
For consumer agreements covered by the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, a supplier generally cannot charge more than 10% above an estimate included in the agreement unless the consumer agrees to an amended estimate or price. Additional work and its cost should be agreed in writing, not assumed from a conversation or website enquiry.
A 10-day cooling-off period applies to qualifying direct agreements, such as certain contracts signed in your home, beginning when you receive the written copy. It does not automatically apply to every renovation contract. Other cancellation rights may apply depending on how the agreement was made, missing disclosures or delayed performance. See Ontario's guide for home-renovation and roofing businesses and Ontario's contract and cancellation guidance.
Nothing in these terms, a quotation or a project agreement removes any non-waivable consumer rights or statutory requirements. Consumer-specific rights may not apply in the same way to commercial contracts.
5. Scope, permits and site conditions
Your written agreement should set out what is included and excluded, access arrangements, protection of the property and cleanup responsibilities. Permit or engineering requirements depend on the work and municipality; responsibility for applications, approvals and associated costs should be confirmed in writing. A website service description does not mean approvals have been obtained.
Inspections may not reveal concealed damage, hazardous materials or underlying structural problems. If these arise, the next steps, revised scope and any price or schedule changes should be discussed and recorded before additional work proceeds, subject to necessary immediate safety measures and applicable law.
6. Scheduling, payments and cancellation
Roofing and exterior work can be affected by weather, safe site access, material availability and inspection requirements. Dates, deposits, payment milestones, accepted payment methods and any estimate-validity period belong in the written agreement. These website terms do not impose a deposit percentage, cancellation fee or refund restriction.
Contact us promptly if you wish to change or cancel proposed work. The written agreement and applicable law determine the process and any payment or refund due. For urgent damage, call 1-888-457-7076; we will respond as quickly as we can. The website does not promise round-the-clock attendance or a fixed emergency response time.
7. Workmanship and product terms
Any project-specific workmanship or manufacturer coverage, its duration, conditions and exclusions must be set out in the written contract and relevant product documents. General website information is not a separate promise of coverage for a particular job. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Images and intellectual property
Some images and video on this website are illustrative examples, including AI-generated or edited material. They show types of roofing, masonry and exterior work and should not be taken as photographs or footage of completed Statley projects, staff or customers' properties unless identified as such. See About the images on this site.
Website text, design, branding and media are owned by Statley Roofing & Masonry or used with the relevant rights or permissions. You may view and share links for personal purposes. Commercial copying or reuse requires permission, except where permitted by law.
9. Acceptable use and external services
Do not submit spam, malicious files or unlawful content, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the website. External links, optional maps and WhatsApp are provided for convenience. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies; we do not control their content or availability.
10. Website availability and legal rights
We aim to keep website information accurate, but it may need correction or updating and the site may occasionally be unavailable. Confirm details relevant to your project directly and in your written agreement. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restrict statutory remedies or replace obligations under a contract for work.
11. Governing law and changes
These website terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to you. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision. A website update does not change an existing signed project agreement.
12. Contact and concerns
For questions about these terms, an estimate or a project, contact Statley Roofing & Masonry at info@statleyroofingandmasonry.com or 1-888-457-7076. Include the relevant project or enquiry reference, if available, so we can review your concern.
