Heritage homes near Yonge and Wellington
Aurora's historic core includes Victorian and early twentieth-century homes with decorative brick, steep gables and chimneys. Some properties are in heritage areas, so we check requirements before proposing changes.
Older brick needs compatible mortar for repointing. We assess mortar and brick condition before quoting.
Aurora Heights and mid-century homes
Aurora Heights has many 1950s–60s bungalows and side-splits. These homes often have had multiple re-roofs and insulation upgrades. We check decking, ventilation and flashing at chimneys and walls.
Original chimneys may need crown repair or partial rebuilding above the roofline.
Aurora Highlands and the Hills of St. Andrew
Larger homes on spacious lots feature complex roofs, mature trees and stone accents. Valleys and dormers collect snow and debris, increasing ice dam risk.
Tree debris and moss can shorten shingle life; regular eavestrough cleaning helps.
The moraine and colder winters
Aurora sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, with more snow and colder temperatures than Toronto. Ice and water protection at eaves and valleys is important, and snow load on low-slope sections can be a concern.
Environmental rules may apply to some site work on the moraine. We flag this so it can be checked.
Working in Aurora
We travel from Toronto and have no Aurora office. Each project begins with an inspection, followed by a free estimate as a written quote and a written contract covering materials, areas, exclusions and access. The Town of Aurora may require a building permit; we'll confirm what's needed.
Statley is WSIB covered. Call 1-888-457-7076 to talk about your property.
